Meet Alyssa
Alyssa Newton -
Owner, Teacher, and Ice Cream Connoisseur
Lovie's was founded in 2017 by Alyssa & her sister, Hannah. After high school, Hannah became a medical lab scientist and Alyssa took over the entirety of the business.
Alyssa graduated from Columbiana High School in 2018 and continued her education at Youngstown State University. She graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Alyssa accepted a job at Austintown where she taught 5th grade math and science. She recently took a break from teaching to focus on her health and later open up her first store in Columbiana, Ohio.
When she is not at Lovie's, Alyssa spends her free time with her family, friends, her boyfriend Kyle, and of course her two fur babies, Bentley & Bottega. She also has a passion for traveling, food, books, & learning something new.
Alyssa loves everything ice cream. She enjoys talking to her devoted customers, most becoming life-long friends. If you see her around town, be sure to say hi. She will more than likely remember your exact order!
